Congratulations to Abeba Mengist, Assistant Professor of Medical Microbiology in Debre Markos University, Ethiopia. Abeba’s poster submission ‘Vaginal Group B Streptococcus Colonization: Prevalence, Associated Factors and Antimicrobial Susceptibility pattern among Pregnant Women in Jimma, Ethiopia’, was awarded best poster prize by the attendees of the 2nd International Symposium on ‘Streptococcus agalactiae’ Disease that took place online 3rd – 5th November 2021.

The poster prize includes flights, visas and a contributions towards accommodation for Abeba to attend the 3rd International Symposium on ‘Streptococcus agalactiae’ Disease taking place in Brazil in 2023.
