The International Symposium on Streptococcus agalactiae Disease (ISSAD) is the premier global forum dedicated to advancing research, prevention, and control of Group B Streptococcus (GBS) disease. Since its inception in 2018, ISSAD has served as a dynamic platform bringing together leading scientists, clinicians, public health experts, policy makers, and advocacy groups from around the world.
Each symposium offers a unique opportunity to share the latest scientific findings, foster multidisciplinary collaborations, and inspire collective action toward reducing the burden of GBS, a major cause of neonatal sepsis, meningitis, and stillbirths globally.
By uniting diverse perspectives and showcasing groundbreaking research, ISSAD aims to accelerate progress in developing and implementing effective interventions, including maternal immunization strategies and innovative diagnostic tools.
Below you will find summaries of each past conference, highlighting their distinct contributions to the global effort against GBS disease.
